Did you know that today is Rotary’s anniversary?

On 23 February 1905, the first Rotary club was formed in Chicago, Illinois, USA, by Paul Harris. His vision was to bring together professionals with diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas and form meaningful friendships.

That makes Rotary 117 years old today! Our club, the Rotary Club of Grahamstown Sunset was founded in 1999, so we have 22 years of service in our history. It’s a privilege to belong to the global family that is Rotary – to be one of 1.4 million members around the world. Something to celebrate!
