Our club has 32 members, 5 directors and a President.  Every year a new President is voted in and he/she then chooses his/her directors.

Each director runs a specific portfolio committee. These committees are crucial in raising awareness of our projects, attracting / retaining members, and looking after club finances and public relations.

We work on a variety of local and global development projects. These include:

  • Educational Programmes - providing books to school libraries and stationery to pupils at various schools in and around Grahamstown and the Makana District.
  • Health Care Programmes - Polio Plus, eye tests, cholesterol screening, AIDS awareness, dental hygiene
  • Environmental Programmes - eradicating alien vegetation in the Makana area so as to increase the water table for the benefit of wildlife, birds and people. To date thousands of wattle trees and saplings have been removed from the hills surrounding Grahamstown.
